NTT Data Greece team is looking for a Middleware Engineer in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector.

You will be responsible for ensuring that clients' IT infrastructure and systems remain operational by proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems. The primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement conditions and achieve client satisfaction through building and supporting technology solutions.

Your Role:

• Manage and optimize middleware and LAMP infrastructure, including third-party applications.
• Oversee infrastructure operations: monitoring, availability testing, reporting, and documentation.
• Implement changes, service requests, and provide on-call support as needed.
• Participate in technical projects and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Proactively manage service improvements and perform disaster recovery testing.
• Handle change management processes and monitor SLAs.
• Collaborate with different teams, manage escalations, and optimize service delivery methods.
• On call responsibilities services are required

Your profile:

• 8+ years of experience in middleware environments within mid-to large-size infrastructures.
• Expertise in design, implementation, and maintenance of middleware solutions, focusing on WebLogic and LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Informational Technology, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Experience with other middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere, JBoss).
• Understanding of network protocols, security, backup & storage technologies, and cyber resiliency principles.
• Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible.
• Strong server platform knowledge in Windows and Linux.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies; self-motivated and capable of independent study.
• Service-oriented with strong customer focus.
• Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.
• EU citizenship is required.
