We are seeking a candidate for the position of Technical Writer for the preparation of the technical portion of Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax credit claims for the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). These claims are prepared for the benefit of Canadian companies who undertake research and development projects and are coordinated by a team from the Montreal, Canada office of Grant Thornton (RCGT).
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing technical documentation provided by the client, including internal records and recorded interviews with specialists involved in the project. Based on this information and following drafting strategies outlined by the RCGT manager, the candidate will prepare technical reports that address key elements such as the technological limitations faced by the project, the work undertaken to address these challenges, and the technological advancements achieved as a result.
The position is for full-time employment through Grant Thornton Greece and will be working exclusively with the RCGT team in Montreal, remotely.
The candidate will be mentored and trained by engineers and scientists at the forefront of the field of tax incentives for technological development. The position involves drafting a technical report which relates the key elements of the client’s project.
