The role is responsible for driving the trade development in on & off-trade channels of our Emerging Brands portfolio (focus on Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Herradura and El Jimador Tequilas, Fords Gin, Glendronach, BenRiach and Glenglassaugh Single Malts) in the Greek market where we have RTC in collaboration with distributor partners (Coca-Cola Hellenic, Concepts etc).

Meaningful Work From Day One

The Emerging Portfolio (EmBED) Development Specialist will play a key role in the development and operational implementation of trade marketing initiatives behind the Emerging Brands portfolio of Brown-Forman (B-F) Greece, across all domestic trade channels.

It will deploy EmBED brands channel plans, strengthen B-F trade marketing capabilities, elevate speed / quality of trade executions, identify business opportunities and gain market & customer insights, ensure superb allocation of resources and enable our brands to win at the point-of-purchase.

The position will assume a bridging role between the local B-F Team - commercial and marketing, B-F Brand Ambassador and Distributor Partners (DPs) trade / channel teams, closely work with them to secure the clear translation of the local brand strategies and plans into effective trade marketing plans and channel activations.

It will enhance B-F share-of-voice among DP field force through continuous productive collaboration and will build rapport / trust among key customers through frequent interaction for the EmBED portfolio.

The role will report to Business Development Manager Greece Cyprus and Bulgaria and work closely with Brand Manager Greece & Cyprus, Brand Manager EmBED Balkans and Portfolio Brand Ambassador Greece.

What You Can Expect

EmBED portfolio brands development

Execution of annual channel plans according to the country plans for the EmBED portfolio. Work closely with BDM GR,CY&BG, BM Emerging Brands Balkans and rest of in-market stakeholders on plans input, alignment, implementation and evaluation.

Promotional Plan

Develop in collaboration with DP trade marketing team and B-F marketing team best-in-class promotional programs and activities (per channel, region, customer) for EmBED portfolio.

Assess results and review learnings for future activities.

Budgeting & Resource Allocation

Secure efficient planning and allocation of trade marketing resources across initiatives, channels / customers based on brand-channel objectives.

Manage designated EmBED resources to gain maximum results. Coordinate the ordering process (POSM, Gift Packs) and closely monitor respective budget and invoicing.

Evaluation and Business Analytics

Track and report to BDM sales targets, volume dynamics, distribution and running activities.

Regular and systematic customer visits according to work plan and customer coverage to identify areas of improvement and collecting and updating information about Distributors performance and industry activities.

Translating Market & Consumer studies and gathering Customer, Competition and Consumer Insights from the market into action plans.

Actively participate in Operational sales routines with DP and follow up on aligned initiatives.

ADDITIONAL : Strategic Input

Strategic Input

Actively support and provide input for the creation of the annual brand, business plans and strategies. Contribute to the formulation of On- and Off-Trade channel vision and set strategic directions (segmentation, picture of success, merchandising principles) for EmBED Portfolio.


Ensure the proper reporting to the BDM GR / CY / BG, in accordance with brand and business objectives.

Engagement / Motivation - Distributor sales team

Seamlessly integrate with DP field sales teams and build productive relationships to gain focus and excitement, ensure alignment behind EmBED portfolio and best-in-class activation at the point-of-purchase.

Work with DP team on collaboration with key customers to build productive relationships, engagement and focus behind EmBED brands.

Trainings and EmBED Advocacy

Identify sales training needs for EmBED portfolio in DP teams and develop together with the B-F marketing team respective EmBED training curriculum.

Develop with Brand Ambassador Greece plan for visits and activation of EmBED brands Advocacy stream for key customers in on-trade.

What You Bring to the Table

College / University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Business, Economics, or related

Decent years of of experience in relevant roles with a mix of marketing and commercial background (i.e. brand & trade marketing / sales) in FMCG industry (preferably in spirits and / or beverages industry / luxury goods).

Working experience in multinational / multicultural companies, exposure to partnerships with 3rd party distributors and professional knowledge of the On & Off-Trade channels and customers environment in Greece is considered a strong advantage.

IT literate / MS Office & Google platforms and apps, Data analytics.

Strategic planning, Business and Brand analytics, Organizational navigation,

Negotiation skills, Customers and partners engagement, Consumer insights,

Fluent in Greek and English
