EY-Parthenon - Senior Financial Analyst - Transactions and Corporate Finance

Within EY-Parthenon, the Transaction Diligence team aims to assist clients, both private equity firms and corporate clients, throughout the whole transaction process. Whilst traditional financial due diligence is a key element of the service, transaction support is much broader, incorporating assistance with business plan assessment, including support to the transaction management, negotiation and documentation, and post-completion integration.

We have ambitious plans, and we are seeking for highly performing professionals, with experience and/or an interest in Financial Due Diligence to join our offices in Athens or Thessaloniki.

As a senior financial analyst in our team, you will:

• Become from day one a contributing team member, performing in a professional environment alongside a vibrant and exciting team of experienced financial due diligence professionals.
• Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals, through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiences.
• Gain diverse experience, with each project offering new opportunities to expand your technical expertise over a wide range of sectors.
• Be a vital member of the team executing financial due diligence projects. You’ll be focused on understanding the client’s business, profit drivers and trends, help clients mitigate risks and improve deal structures.
  
  

Skills and attributes for success

What we look for

• Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Economics, or other related field with a strong quantitative focus
• Strong relevant working experience, ideally in a, Corporate Finance department, or Big4 professional services firm
• Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English
• Advanced knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong numerical / analytical ability and a sound grasp of financial accounting
• Strong team participation, communication, and interpersonal skills, particularly in teams with diverse skills and backgrounds
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail and project management skills
• Willingness to learn, proactivity and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas and work under tight deadlines
• Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development

Ideally, you’ll also have

• A masters’ degree in Accounting / Finance / Auditing / Business, or other related field with strong business and quantitative focus
• Working experience in audit and assurance and/or M&A role
• An active CPA/ACCA/ACA/CFA certification (or in a final stage of completion)
• Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
