The Contracts Engineer performs the following major duties:
a) drafts, comments, reviews, negotiates EPC contracts (FIDIC, MF-1, NEC3, BrownBook etc.) with clients and business (Contract prices range from €70 mi. to €500 mi.)
b) drafts, comments, reviews, negotiates the terms of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors (Contract prices range from €5k to €15 mi.)
c) participates in face-to-face meetings for negotiations of EPC contracts. Authority to accept terms on behalf of business (applicable to Technical Contracts Engineers).
The Technical Contracts Engineer also provides the following services:
d) supports, directs, provides advice and guidance to the different business teams relating to contract generation and commercial, technical, contractual risk assessment
e) acts as the point of contact for clients, sales managers, project managers, site managers and engineers of business
f) coordinates assignments to the Technical Contracts Engineers under the supervisor’s directions (applicable to Technical Contracts Engineers)
g) supports, directs, reviews deliverables from the Technical Contracts Engineers
h) drafts, comments, reviews technical/commercial terms for Tenders for clients and coordinates deadlines
i) builds and maintains good relationships with clients and suppliers/subcontractors.
j) liaises with external stakeholders (technical and financial staff, suppliers/subcontractors, contract teams, client’s representatives) for technical contracts coordination
k) liaises with internal stakeholders (legal team, project management teams, sales team, procurement team, finance team, engineering team, administration) for technical contracts coordination and implementation
l) reviews and proposes approval/rejection of all Contracts of MPP under the electronic SharePoint (EPC Contracts) application.
