Warehouse Assistant

What is a Warehouse Assistant

As a member of the Materials Management team the Warehouse Assistant is responsible for receiving materials storing them in designated warehouse locations transporting and issuing materials to all production departments as well as handling loading and preparing finished products for shipment to our customers.

What does a Warehouse Assistant do on a daily basis

• Unloads and loads goods from trucks using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Carefully checks delivery documents for incoming materials from suppliers and shipping documents for finished products dispatched to customers.
• Records delivery and shipping documents in the companys ERP system.
• Organizes materials within the warehouse and ensures that storage areas are kept clean and orderly.
• Transports and issues materials to production departments and records all material movements in the ERP system.
• Performs regular physical inventory counts of warehouse materials.

Where will you work

The Warehouse Assistant is based at our Warehouse facilities located at our headquarters in Ilion.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday rotating shifts (Morning & Afternoon).

• Previous experience in a similar warehouse position.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Reliability consistency and strong communication skills.
