Finance Associate

Summary

Enearth, a subsidiary of Energean, is seeking a Finance Associate to support the development of the Prinos CO₂ project—one of the first Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) initiatives in the Mediterranean region - as well as other strategic carbon storage and decarbonisation initiatives within Enearth’s portfolio.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, the role will support project finance, funding strategy, and commercial activities, contributing to the financial structuring and advancement of strategic energy transition projects, while supporting market development initiatives, stakeholder engagement activities and the broader CCS value chain strategy.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the development and implementation of commercial and financial strategies, ensuring effective allocation of project resources
• Identify and assess funding opportunities, including European and national grants
• Assist in the preparation and submission of funding proposals under relevant frameworks (e.g. Recovery and Resilience Facility)
• Monitor and follow up on administrative processes related to grants and funding programs
• Support the assessment and development of strategic commercial opportunities and initiatives related to carbon management and decarbonisation activities
• Support commercial activities, including participation in contract negotiations, commercial structuring initiatives and contract management processes
• Support market analysis activities, including assessment of CO₂ supply and demand dynamics, market trends and strategic developments relevant to CCS and carbon management
• Contribute to the implementation of market tests, capacity allocation processes and commercial frameworks, where applicable
• Maintain and update the project financial model, ensuring accuracy and consistency of assumptions
• Analyze commercial and financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support decision-making and project optimization
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to align commercial and financial planning with project requirements
• regulators, financial institutions and other external stakeholders
• Monitor regulatory, policy and market developments relevant to carbon management and energy transition initiatives
• Prepare presentations, reports, and materials for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, commercial counterparties and project partners

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance, financial advisory, project finance, commercial analysis or infrastructure/energy projects
• Experience with financial modelling and financial analysis with the ability to support strategic and commercial assessments
• Familiarity with European or national funding mechanisms and grant processes will be considered an asset
• Strong command of English (written and spoken)
