Experienced Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading company operating in the processing & trade of fruits & vegetables, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Financial Accountant. As an Experienced Financial Accountant, you will oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, and managerial accounting processes. In this pivotal Experienced Financial Accountant role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the General Ledger, preparing financial statements, and driving effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis within a fast-paced agri-food environment.

As a experienced financial accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and optimize the Company’s Chart of Accounts.
• Oversee and perform month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Perform complex account reconciliations (GL, bank accounts, subledgers) and execute adjusting journal entries to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee Fixed Assets register maintenance, including depreciation calculations and tracking.
• Prepare statutory and internal financial statements in full compliance with accounting standards (IFRS / local GAAP).
• Ensure strict adherence to tax, financial regulations, and internal compliance protocols.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling financial forecasts.
• Drive Cost Accounting analysis, monitor variances, and implement cost control measures.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly financial performance analyses and track key financial metrics (KPIs).
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for management and key stakeholders.

In order for your profile to match the experienced financial accountant, you need to have the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are considered a strong plus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting and/or controlling/managerial accounting.
• Fluency in English (C1/C2 level - Excellent verbal and written communication skills is mandatory).
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS / local GAAP) and financial reporting.
• Strong expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SoftOne, Pylon, Atlantis) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

5+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting and/or controlling/managerial accounting.
