Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Qualifications and Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
• Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or eligible to obtain licensure by the anticipated start date
• One year of experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Support treatment plans addressing communication articulation language development feeding and swallowing needs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with supervising SLPs and the care team
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans to support each childs goals
• Collaborate with families caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to promote carryover and progress
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
