FTTx Project Coordinator

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a dynamic and motivated FTTx Project Coordinator to join our team and support the successful delivery of large-scale fiber optic network deployment projects for one of our key telecommunications customers.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating field operations, subcontractors, clients and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and according to quality standards.

The position is based at our headquarters in Gerakas, Athens and includes regular travel to project areas in the Peloponnese region (Pyrgos, Kalamata and surrounding areas) to monitor project progress and support operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project progress, costs, schedules and performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with field teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily project activities between field operations, subcontractors, clients and internal departments to ensure the smooth and timely execution of projects.
• Support the Project Manager and project team in the planning, organization and coordination of day-to-day project activities.
• Participate in internal and external meetings with customers, operators, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Review measurements, certifications, permits, as-built documentation and acceptance files to ensure proper project monitoring, documentation and billing.
• Coordinate material requests, deliveries and equipment availability to support uninterrupted project execution.
• Conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor progress, identify risks and resolve operational issues.
• Prepare and maintain project reports, dashboards and progress updates for management and clients.
• Monitor project risks and proactively propose corrective actions when required.
• Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality procedures, health & safety requirements and company policies.
• Support effective subcontractor management and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes and team efficiency.
• Develop a solid understanding of project financial performance, including basic profit and loss concepts, project costs and budget monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, project management support or telecommunications/construction operations.
• Good understanding of FTTx/FTTH network deployment methodologies and telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Experience participating in customer-facing meetings and interacting with demanding clients or telecommunications operators will be considered a strong asset.
• Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Asana or similar) will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Basic understanding of financial terminology, project costs and profitability concepts.
• Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly.
