Περιγραφή θέσης

The Exports Area Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the company's export business within an assigned geographical area, with a particular focus on Eastern European and Slavophone markets.

The role combines sales development, distributor and key account management, market expansion and commercial strategy, with the objective of achieving sustainable revenue growth and strengthening the company's presence in international markets. The role is located in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy and annual sales plan for the assigned export markets.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, customers, distributors and strategic partners.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, importers, wholesalers and key accounts.
  • Achieve agreed sales, revenue, margin and profitability targets for the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular market analysis, identifying market trends, customer needs, competitors and new business opportunities.
  • Develop new markets and expand the company's customer base through systematic prospecting and business development.
  • Lead commercial negotiations regarding pricing, terms, volumes, promotions and contracts.
  • Prepare and conduct customer meetings, presentations, product demonstrations and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in and represent the company at international exhibitions, trade fairs and business meetings.
  • Coordinate closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Production, R&D and Finance to ensure excellent customer service and smooth order execution.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales forecasts, market reports and business plans.
  • Manage the commercial pipeline and ensure effective follow-up of leads and opportunities.
  • Gather customer and market feedback and communicate opportunities for new product development and portfolio optimization.
  • Monitor customer profitability, payment terms and commercial risks in cooperation with Finance.
  • Undertake frequent international business travel to support customer development and market growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in Export Sales, International Business Development or Area Management, preferably within the Food / FMCG / Food Ingredients industry.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing international markets and distributor networks.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Fluent Russian or another Slavic language will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Good knowledge of international trade practices and export processes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively internationally.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented and commercially driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities and manage multiple markets simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
