The company operates its own Satellite Command and Control Centre (C2) in Kifisia Athens a modern infrastructure serving as a national hub for satellite mission operations that supports both civilian and defense applications

As we expand our portfolio in space and defense programs we are seeking a highly capable and motivated DevOps ENINEER.

THE CHALLENGE OF A SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER AT PLANETEK HELLAS.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Team.

You will combine software development (Dev) skills with IT operations (Ops) expertise to optimize the software lifecycle. Your main goal will be to enhance collaboration between development and operations teams by automating and optimizing key processes such as software release infrastructure management and application monitoring.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience both in development and operations focusing on process automation infrastructure management and continuous integration (CI/CD).

You will manage and continuously improve our technology stack support development teams and ensure our applications and infrastructures efficiency scalability and security.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance the efficiency of development and release processes;

Manage and optimize the existing infrastructure using cloud technologies and containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes);

Automated infrastructure management using tools like Terraform;

Monitor and optimize the performance of applications and services in production;

Collaborate with development teams to ensure the adoption of DevOps practices and the integration of new features;

Implement and maintain monitoring logging and alerting tools to ensure system availability and resilience;

Manage and resolve incidents and operational issues performing root cause analysis activities;

Maintain a strong focus on security by implementing best practices and managing vulnerabilities;

Contribute to the DevOps culture through training and mentoring of other team members.

YOUR BACKGROUND:

You have a bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology Software Engineering or a related field and at least 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or similar role with a proven track record in both software development and IT operations.

In particular you bring with you:

Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps).

Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).

Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash PowerShell) and automation tools.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack).

The following are an advantage:

Strong understanding of networking security best practices and system architecture;

Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices;

Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis;

spirit of initiative and operational autonomy;

ability to work in a team and in an integrated way with the other corporate functions;

proactivity and aptitude for problem-solving;

self-control and stress management;
