Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer, based in Algosystems in Athens Greece, will design, implement, support and optimize enterprise IT Infrastructure & Cloud solutions for Algosystems’ customers, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and support enterprise IT Infrastructure, Cloud and Hybrid Cloud solutions.
• Support complex customer environments, projects and Managed Services, ensuring availability, performance, security and SLA compliance.
• Perform cloud deployments, migrations, upgrades, integrations, optimization and technical problem resolution.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, configurations, implementation plans and operational procedures.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point, supporting engineering teams and resolving complex infrastructure and cloud issues.
• Collaborate with architects, project teams, vendors and customers throughout solution design, implementation, migration and transition to operations.
• Maintain and continuously develop technical expertise and relevant cloud and vendor certifications.

Qualifications and Work Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems and/or Cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, including cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, compute, storage, backup and related services.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Purview, Intune, SharePoint, Teams), Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory and hybrid Microsoft environments.
• Good knowledge of virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery and enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Experience in cloud migration, modernization, automation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AWS and multi-cloud environments is highly desirable.
• Experience implementing and supporting solutions in large and complex enterprise customer environments.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure and other cloud/vendor certifications are highly desirable.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
