Summary
Energean is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller to join our Project Development team in Athens, Greece. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling all project and operational documentation in accordance with company procedures and industry standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of critical technical and contractual documents that support safe and efficient project execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage, control, and track all technical, contractual, and project-related documentation in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a well-organised electronic and physical document control system (EDMS), ensuring timely retrieval, version control, and secure storage of documents.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, formatting, and compliance with established standards prior to submission or distribution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure effective document flow and revision management.
- Ensure timely distribution of controlled documents, including drawings, specifications, procedures, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain audit trails for document revisions, approvals, and archiving, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Support project teams during audits, inspections, and handover phases by providing accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to project personnel on document control processes, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Document Control, ideally within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Engineering sector.
- Solid understanding of document control procedures, quality management systems, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Trimble Viewpoint for Projects, SharePoint, Aconex, Documentum, or similar.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ISO standards, company codes, and regulatory requirements relevant to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
