Job description
- Lead and manage ventilation projects, including system design, installation, and maintenance
- Conduct comprehensive ventilation assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct airflow modelling and simulations to optimize ventilation system performance
- Design and develop effective ventilation plans for all underground mining operations, adhering to strict safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of the ventilation system, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of ventilation equipment, including fans, ducts, and monitoring systems.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive ventilation reports and documentation.
- Utilize VentSim software to design and optimize ventilation systems for underground mine operations.
- Conduct risk assessments related to ventilation systems and air quality hazards.
- Provide training and guidance to mine personnel on ventilation principles, practices, and safety procedures.
