Overview :

Mitel is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Developer to join our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing our in-house security tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security development lifecycle practices, software development experience and a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to translate user needs into effective security solutions.

Responsibilities :

Product Ownership : Work closely with users and stakeholders to understand their security needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.

Software Architecture and Design : Collaborate with development teams to design and implement robust security solutions.

Application Security Development : Enhance, optimize and deploy our in-house security tools to address evolving needs and streamline workflows to reduce manual efforts.

API Integration : Work with APIs to facilitate tool integration and automation, enabling seamless communication between different systems.

Security Development Lifecycle Practices : Design tools to automate our SDL processes : vulnerability, license and compliance management.

Requirements :

Computer Science, Engineering, or related field degree or equivalent technical experience.

7+ years of experience in application development.

Proficiency in PHP, Yii2 framework, Python and Bash.

Strong knowledge of Linux environments.

Familiarity with MySQL database management and SQL.

Experience in Docker for containerization.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills (Advantageous) :

Understanding of CVSS, CVEs, penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and other security concepts.

Experience with one or more of the following tools : Mend SCA, Jira / JQL, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline and JFrog Artifactory.
